Local Seniors Donate to Hurricane Relief

Local seniors have answered the call to help aid in Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. Residents from Grace Lutheran Barstow Apartments are donating supplies and are helping load goods going to help with the cleanup in Texas as seen on WEAU and McKnight's Senior Living News.
“The images we are seeing from Texas are shocking. Our residents wanted to help, and this is a simple way they could give back to the people in need,” said Director of Grace Apartments, Stephanie Brueggen.
Brueggen says she learned one of her friends was leaving for Texas, and immediately knew this was something the residents would want to help with.
“We often feel helpless when events like this happen. Collecting items to donate is an easy way we can help from so far away,” Brueggen added.
Grace Lutheran Communities has been helping our friends and neighbors in communities all over the Chippewa Valley since 1960. The non-profit organization specializes in rehabilitation, assisted living, skilled nursing, memory care, child care, independent living, and adult day services.
