Eau Claire We all know the delight of a Thanksgiving dinner with family and friends. But imagine cooking for a family that numbers in the hundreds.

Every year, the nutrition and kitchen staff at Syverson Lutheran Home in downtown Eau Claire work for days to make sure our friends and neighbors have a delicious, traditional Thanksgiving dinner to remember.

“The folks who are responsible for the huge Thanksgiving meal take their job seriously. This isn’t just about cooking some food; this meal represents so many fond memories for our residents. It brings back the recollections of Thanksgivings past with family. And here at Syverson, we’re all family”, said director Randy Rennock.

Just to put it into perspective, this massive meal boasts: *100 pounds of turkey
*80 pounds of potatoes
*4 gallons of gravy

*30 pumpkin pies *200 dinner rolls

Grace Lutheran Foundation has been helping our friends and neighbors in communities all over the Chippewa Valley since 1960. The non-profit organization specializes in rehabilitation, assisted living, skilled nursing, child care, independent living and adult day services.
