Prairie Pointe to Celebrate Grand Opening

Posted 9/12/2016

After years of planning and construction, Wisconsin’s most technologically advanced short-term rehabilitation program will celebrate its grand opening with a keynote speech at 5:30 p.m. from former Wisconsin Governor Tommy Thompson.

“This is a dream come true not only for patients in western Wisconsin, but also for the entire medical community in Eau Claire. We have taken great strides to make sure this is the most advanced rehab center in the state,” said CEO Michael Christensen.

Grace Lutheran Communities’ Prairie Pointe Rehabilitation Suites will feature the latest medical advancements to get patients home after surgery or other medical procedures. At the heart of the mission in the building is a new program we call “concierge care.”
“When you come to Prairie Pointe for rehabilitation, you will get the finest care anywhere. Our Concierge Care program will mean whatever you need to make your stay here even better, you’ll get,” Christensen added.

Prairie Pointe will feature 40 rooms with private spa-like bathrooms, a bistro for casual dining, a state-of-the-art therapy gym with the latest equipment to get patients back home quickly and numerous living spaces where you can dine, relax and heal. Prairie Pointe also features a large community center which will be used for events, free of charge.

Grace Lutheran Communities has been helping our friends and neighbors in communities all over the Chippewa Valley since 1966. The non-profit organization specializes in rehabilitation, assisted living, skilled nursing, child care, independent living and adult day services. The foundation also manages senior care facilities for American Lutheran Communities and First Lutheran Foundation as well as the community-owned Pioneer Nursing Home in Prairie Farm, Wisconsin and Heritage of Elmwood Nursing Home in Elmwood, Wisconsin.
